FREE ONLINE WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS
During August, IRL Hub in association with the Milstead Company, is offering Workshops free of charge to Melbourne schools as a way of supporting teachers through the (still) rapidly changing COVID restrictions and demand for remote learning.
All of the Milstead and IRL Hub teams are based in Melbourne and currently experiencing all the joys of the restrictions as well, so we’re keen to support teachers during what we know is very stressful time.
IRL works with comedians, performers, writers and teachers to prepare workshops centred around a performance stimulus, that cut through the distractions and frustrations of remote learning with a tailored, entertaining experience, at the flick of a webcam. These workshops are all developed with an eye to units of study and with clear links to curricula and syllabus outcomes.

The free workshops cover critical thinking, creative writing, and science – with a workshop focussing on viruses in which students play contract tracers.
